If you’re like most people, you probably think pizza came from the Italy. That’s true…and not true. In fact, pizza can be traced back to the Greeks and Phoenicians. It was originally eaten by peasants since it was cheap, easy to make, and could also double as a plate and/or spoon to sop up soup or broth. Historical writings of several Mediterranean cultures (including the Romans) describe a basic form of baked flatbread that was seasoned with oil and herbs (no tomato yet, Europe hadn’t discovered them)…
